Reading that table
Three things stand out. The first is that the château itself publishes no visitor figure.
The second is that Chambord claims the rank, in its own press release, with a dated number and a year-on-year comparison. It is a specific, current claim.
The third is that the Chenonceau figures do not agree with each other. Two sources six years apart both say 800,000, and one attaches it to a single year while the other says it happens every year. A third says roughly 1.3 million and cites nobody.
What about the booking numbers?
